CNC Machining - Bespoke Machined Timber

M&M Timber provides specifiers and playground equipment companies with a variety of timber products and components to help them design and construct innovative and education play spaces that are durable and easy to maintain.

At the forefront of timber machining technology, we operate state of the art CNC machinery to deliver a unique edge in innovating new and exciting components, whilst tuning efficiencies on traditional means of manufacture.

The CNC machine produces consistent high-quality bespoke machining of timbers for the playground and landscaping sectors.

The bed can take a maximum of 10 individual components at a time, up to a length of 3.6m. Once programmed and clamped into position the 4 Axis head will work through the components at speed. This new technology gives added precision allowing M&M Timber to work to the smallest tolerances available in a natural product such as timber.

The timber sourced for use on the CNC machine is Radiata pine timber renowned for its inherent low split properties and therefore minimising finger traps. The timbers are kiln dried and pressure treated with wood preservative for durability and long service life.
